I had to trim up some of the grills, but the actual surround and slats themselves are still all intact. It was just the insides that were cut out. Next time the front bumper is off, I will probably paint the pipes black, so they hide a bit better behind the grills.

Hey what works, works IMO. Since I am 100% stock (motor wise minus FMIC an TP) right now (not even a chip) the couplers/pipes are holding together fine. But I do realize that as soon as I go BT, the couplers/pipes would just slide off. IMO, the only weak link is the piping, and if you get it all welded up, there is no reason why this system should not work. Even with a stock motor, I can feel a difference in 2nd and 3rd on these 100*F days in SC.

Well I initially wanted a set of Privat Reserv's, but I couldnt find one company that still sells them. Then I wanted some Stern ST-2 wheels, but thats because I was desperate and then I came across these Rial wheels

As for the front bumper, I plan on doing the USP DIY, sometime in the future, and paint the lowers at the same time. And I do have the center chrome surround, just not the black grill.

Total cost was a little under $300, but it will cost another $2-300 to get the pipes welded up before I go BT
