to those that owns an RS4

i saw a sprint blue RS4 today, and i just want to tell you guys how good looking the car was. it brought back all those memories where i had to decide which car to get (c63 or the rs4). even though i got the c63 in the end, but i can't forget how nice of a car the rs4 is.

For NY i would take the RS4 everyday but for the 1/4 Mile, some slicks, a full exhaust, intake and flash the C63 Baby!! Im sure a C63 with 5k in mods and slicks could run 11.90's.

I love rs4 for a everyday car and as fors looks kicks the benzs ass but performance you can't beat the benz

Both nice cars, but I really don't know why you would compare them. Auto vs Stick. I know some people claim there isn't a 'big' difference, but there is, the transmission has a huge impact on the overall nature and 'feel' of a vehicle.

I dont think this makes them non-comparative just because they have different transmissions. They are certainly aimed at the same market and I would certainly label them as competitors of one another. I agree I would much rather have a 6spd over any type of auto but still

The gearbox in the Benz (the new C63 is AMAZING). I can't say a bad thing about it...

That said, there's something about a clutch.

The Benz is a straight line beast for sure, and definitely has its own appeal. However, the reason I feel that the RS4 is a superior overall vehicle (and a superior vehicle to the M3 also) is that it can be driven much harder with a far greater degree of safety and control than the C63 or the M3. This is especially true on the street. Toss in a little rain or snow and it's game over for sure.

Can't help compare these cars. That's okay. We should compare them. Each has it's strengths and weaknesses. Just keep it about the cars, and not turn it into personal attacks on people. That's when it is bad.

The MB is more expensive? Buy an RS4 in the US, you can get a great used one for around 60K now.

Yeah you should have gotten it in the US. Although I love the C63, 469 HP going the the rear wheels isnt going to cut it when it snows. With the Canadian dollar where it is I bet you could have gotten a helluva deal on an RS4.
