    Speaker Impedance

    I have an 03 A4 with the non-bose system.
i'm replacing the headunit with an F700BT, and am not certain what ohm impedance the speakers are in my car (fronts run off HU, rears off amp). I know i've heard 2ohm, but i believe if the tweeter is in series with the woofer that 2+2 = 4. I'm curious if anybody can tell me what the ohm load on the amplifier is.

So does anybody know what exactly it is, and if a 4ohm amplifier is going to have a problem running it?

    Thanks!

    Re: Speaker Impedance

bose should be 2ohm, non-bose should be 4ohm. I can put a meter on the bose in my garage to verify.

Tweet should be in parallel with the mid, and pull a 4ohm load as well.

IMHO, either run all 4 off the HU, or run all 4 off the amp (aftermarket I'm assuming)...don't do 2 and 2... You're only asking for problems...
