I know I've looked online. But my parents won't get a nice s4 from on forums or "actual modded ones" because they're super old school.
It's this one, or the BMW 325i we also looked at. The 325 is red and stick (2002) but I don't know price OR mileage. Going in tommorow morning to find out. Will get back....
Time to slap some sense into your parents. "Actual modded ones?" Then wth is that gargoyle of an S4 that you linked us haha.
What is your budget?
Get 6speed.
2001.5 years plus (new badging is how you tell, badge on cluster is on left and not on right)
Tell your parents that forum cars are generally far better maintained and the deals are better, not to mention that you get feedback from other members on a particular car for sale.
Also very IMPORTANT:
Do your research on these cars, they require a lot of attention when it comes to maintenance, you may be better off with a younger 5 speed 1.8t.
Maintenance cost of a 2.7t is pretty much 2x the maintenance cost of a 1.8t, you can easily bring a 1.8t to the performance level with the money you'll save on an S4. Don't get me wrong, the B5 S4 is one of the greats, but for people with deep pockets, patience, and not minding the downtime.
And for the love of god don't go with a 325i, slower than a stock 1.8t, and far far more problematic than a 330i.
