Well I went down to Waterfest and ended up coming back with some HRE 526's lol... They are 18x10 and 18x8.5 and run 255 and 225... My plan is to do a mild widebody and fit some decent tires on those suckers, hopefully 275 and 245... The pics on the black car were just taken so I could be assured they fit a b5 before I bought them, thats not my car... Anyways, the wheels will be refinished, the lips polished and the centers blasted/powercoated, the color theme will remain the same... On to the pics, enjoy!

just keep the rolling diameters to within a couple percent and youre fine... i will be investigating how much new outer lips would be to make the fronts 18x10 as well... 275s all around would be perfect imo

about 6k new... there are only 2 sets made in audi configuration that i know of... these wheels are no longer made

i paid less than a third of that WITH tires... i liked the idea of having modular wheels and ones that clear b5 s4 brakes (on that black car) with ease... time will tell if they clear my 993TT brakes...

True, but an anchor is an anchor no matter how you look at it. The can end up making the car feel slugish.

well i just dismounted the tires... the wheels are lighter than any 18" cast wheel ive held, even my dads superleggeras are heavier at 18x8 than my 18x10...

i want wider tires on the car, weight comes with that... many exotics i work on have wide (and consequently heavier) tires, it doesnt seem to deter the manufacturers

yea well displacement isnt important, ill have the power EVENTUALLY lol... the 996TT uses 225 and 295, its awd (rear engine but oh well)

well the rears (read: heavier) break down like this: 4lbs outer lip, 6 lbs inner lip, 9 lbs center, 19lbs tire... thats 19lbs for an 18x10 wheel, which is awesome... 38lbs for the entire assembly, for an 18x10 setup... the fronts im sure come in pretty close for the wheel weight but with tire will be a couple lbs lighter...

so enough of this too heavy talk

yea, plus these were somewhat worn... im not fretting though, just trying to prove that these wheels wont affect performance in a straight line
