The B5 is coming together *Many Pics*

So here's my 99.5 Volcano B5 she's a 2.8LQM With 66k on the clock.
Bought her with 63k. So far I've done some simple exterior mods which can be read in my sig below. Maintenance so far includes Complete Timing Belt Service w/ APR Snub Mount @ 63k Miles, Front Sway Links, just did Front Brakes (Went with Mintex reds w/ proper break bedding = no squeaks and great pads) and tomorrow I'm doing Tie Rod ends. Upon dropping my car I found out that the pass side was shot so I'm doing them both and getting an alignment Tuesday . I'm going to post a series of before pics followed by another set of what she currently looks like now. Let me know what you guys think. I know I need wheels, most likely going usp or rs4 reps. I also know I need tints! Hopefully this will be done in the near future..

Ws there a noticable difference between the sport springs and the H&R in ride height and quality?

Noticeable difference? oh yes.
I have about a one finger gap in the front and rear w/ my 16" Swings.
Some 18's would fill the gap just nice I bet.
Ride quality is amazing and just slightly notice a difference when hitting bumps.
Sometimes I forget my car is lowered and bottom out from time to time but nothing major. Also, sport shocks have only 66k miles on them. I dunno if I'd put these springs on a high mileage set of sport suspension. The H&R Sport Springs are a much less aggressive spring and may be better for the sport suspension setup itself.

p.s. The after pics were taken literally like 3 days after the suspension was put in. The springs have settled a bit and is def lower.

LOL no my mechanic (who I purchased the car from) took the pinstripe off for me before I even purchased the car. It was part of the deal. Pinstripes are def gay. Don't belong on Audi's period.
diesel, the seats in my car are rare to come by apparently. They are in fact NOT S4 seats as they are made of a thicker leather.
The S4 seats are made from a softer "silk nappa" leather. However the design is identical and boy do they smell good haha.



I have a series of tears on the drivers bolster though :( That's really the only flaw in the leather.
I'd like to have it repaired but I dunno if it's too f'ed beyond repair or not. Good thing is once I'm in the car you can't see it at all haha
I'm guessing it was owned by a rather large person before me.

I'm also looking to grab a set of stock grey floormats that match my interior.
The Monster Mats are basically new (mech purchased them before I bought the car)
and I'd be willing to trade straight up w/ anyone looking for a set. I just cant get used to the rubber.

Dude the all weather mats are sweet. But I have the Grey/Black interior. I threw away my stock carpet mats, they were a bit torn up too.

I'm confused. Are you running race springs or sport springs? Your sig says races on sport shocks but the posts say sports springs? I'm looking to go with h&r sports with bils as my stock sport suspension is at 164,000km. so just wanted to make sure if you're running sport springs or race springs? Thanx.

Sorry about the past confusing post.
I am running HR Race Springs on my stock sport suspension.
What I was trying to say was that the HR Sports may be easier on the suspension if you have stock Sport suspension w/ a lot of miles.
I had bilstein sports w/ vogtland springs in my other B5 and absolutely hated the ride quality.

weird, the back of the seats are the regular old 2.8 seats but the bottoms are like the S4 seats. never seen that before.

Well, looks wise she's just about done.
Tint the tails/35% tint all around and rs4/usp wheels is all I want to do.
Car gets mad looks already so I must be doing something right lol.

If I get some extra cash I'd like to shoot for a used PES G2 supercharger.

Yeah guys thanks again!
The caps look even better up close.. I figured I'd put the time and effort to clean up the engine bay a little more. It took all but an extra 15mins to do them. They are still looking great and I'd think they should hold up just fine for the duration of their life. I even went and did the dip stick too! No more orange! I love the stuff.
I did steal the idea from a current AZ member though. I take no credit on originality haha

I probably wont be doing an intake as it's not really worth the money for the performance.
But I want to go the custom magnaflow route real soon maybe the 14815/16 muffler

Spray can tint. Just place some painters tape over the reverse lights and go to work. I have noticed that people whom do the spray can method end up with some clean looking tail lights.

It's basically just liquid rubber. You can get spray cans or a tub that you dip the items into. Any home improvement store should have it in with the spray paints.

okay how many layers would you recommend and will one can do both my tails good?
or should I order two just to be safe? Clear coat: two cans or 1? How many layers?
I want my tails real dark but not like BLACK so prob 4 or 5 layers?

i've always done 3-4 lighter coats, pretty dark but not black. just spray two, and if you want it darker, spray another, and another, and maybe another..... and probaly like 2-3 coats of clear.

and I would think 2 cans just to be ssafe.
