Alpine to Stock?

Ok so i am slowly finding through my adventures with my car all the goodies that the previous owner left me. This one looks to be an Alpine AI-Net connector in the rear where the cd changer would be (left side of trunk). I thought you could only hook up ai-net to alpine h/us, or is it possible to hook up an alpine changer or ipod control to the stock h/u?

yea thats an ai cable, prob had an aftermarket deck in there at one time. the stock changer cable hopefully should be back there. I believe only panasonic changers worked with the audi.
