    Back Lower Control arm WTF!

so i needed to pull my driver side, front wheel, lower rear control arm, among all the other control arms to pull out my upright. SO, the bolt that holds that control to the frame of the car was so goddamn long, i could not get it out without it hitting the frame of the car. i needed the thing out so bad, i finally just cut the bolt in half, which then gave me room to pull the rest of it out. there is obviously some way to put one back in, but i cannot figure out how to do it.. what the hell do i need to do to get the bolt back in once it is time??

there is a 18mm bolt and 2 13mm bolts i think it looks like a triangular bracket holds the subframe up, unbolt those and get a pry bar pry it down that should give u enough room

gotcha.. i was looking at that but i wasnt sure how in depth that would get if i were to do that. it wont bend/mess any other components up by pushing the subframe down?

also you can just loosen the sub frame bolts and you should be able to wiggle it out

Re: Back Lower Control arm WTF!

I lowered the subframe to get that bolt out. When I put the new one in, I reversed the bolt, so that the nut was towards the back of the car. You can insert the bolt into the frame and then push it through hole. That way you don't need to drop the subframe to put the new bolt in and it will make replacing that control arm much easier if you ever need to replace it again.
