Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta - Best place to purchase?

Where is the best place to purchase a set of Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's? I would like to get a warranty and free rotations (a la America's Tire Co. or Costco). Advice?

Also, how do you guys think that they compare to the PS2's? The Sessanta's and the PS2's are the only two tires that I am looking at, but would like to save a few pennies considering I buy a set of tires each year.
Cool stuff with a little growl!

They are great tires especially for the money. They are great in the rain and dry but i noticed a little softness on the sidewall in turns compared to my PS2's.

    Do you rotate yourself?

I was hoping to get an all inclusive deal - road hazard and rotations.

Charles, I think that is just because of all the ps2 hype, these tires have one of the stiffest sidewall I have ever felt, I sat my ass on the tire before it was mounted to check and it did not move.

got mine from Scott at Rival.

    $256 on this site:

    http://www.tiresbyweb.com/pc-5735-13...-sessanta.aspx

$135 on this site, don't know if it's XL though:

    http://www.performanceplustire.com/p...-18#prodAnchor

    $139 at sportcompactonly:

    http://www.sportcompactonly.com/Audi...77_vy-2006.htm

Charles, if you want all that road hazzard and stuff, maybe have that tire place order you some sessantas. The only thing is, you might have to pay the premium of $256 for those. Who knows!

Call performance plus tires. I just ordered mine. They just received stock a few days ago.

I'm picking mine up so it's a bit cheaper than ordering and shipping online.

I'm getting the 245/35/19 and they are XL.

They were out of stock when I called a few months back so I picked mine up locally at waukegantire.com for the same price.
I'd suggest a 235/35/19 because the Sessanta is a true 235 tire and you will have rubbing if you are lowered with a 245.

The 235/35/19 is also XL load rated.

Do you know for sure that they will rub? I'm picking up my 245's tomorrow. Also, is there a way of knowing if they will rub before drivng away, but after they have been mounted?

It all depends on how much you're lowered. It is possible to compensate with some negative camber if you really want to go low. If you're riding on stock suspension and don't plan on lowering I don't think you'll have a problem with the 245's. If you have coilovers you can adjust your suspension so it wont rub.
Only way to know for sure if you're going to rub at a certain height is to drive it.

Ah, then the 245's should work for me. Planning to get corner balanced at West End Alignment.

Re: Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta - Best place to purchase?

I have seen a thread where a few advertisers said that 245/35/19 is the only size they recommend. I just can't find it at the minute. But I did a lot of searching on that. At least EddieMan confirms that 245/35/19 works on his B7 S4 with the same rims I'm getting and he has the Bilsteins also. So I think I'm ok.

    Found the thread:

As stated above. this is where i purchased them from. They are ultrac sessantas 235/40/18. As far as sidewall stiffness i notice a little more road noise or sound feedback when i corner hard. no sreeching though. Maybe they are a slightly softer compound which may account for this. I have not tracked this car as it is too expensive to do so, only street driving.

Thanks for all of the info. I went to Performance Plus and they were great! I highly recommend them. Anyway, a few crappy iPhone shots of the new VMR 710's with the 245's.
