    diy leather die?

I need to make my grey leather black. Has anybody experimented with doing a project like this. I know they make kits with die and everything in them but they all have been really expensive. Any suggestions and helpful hints on a cheap way to do it that will still have it turn out nice, will be much appreciated.

TrimCar will dye your leather interior. Considering their pricing I would hope that their dye job should be reasonable. I would hate to find out that the dye I might have used was wrong and comes off on a hot summer day onto a nice suit or worse one of her outfits.

You do realize that your "Leather" is vinyl right? Anyways I dyed my multiple colored interior in my 64 Chevelle years ago using a spray dye I got from the Auto parts store it worked fine and never came off for the 4 more years I owned it.

Edit: This appears to be what I used: http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...part=VHT-SP941

Thanks a lot guys. I didn't even think about the seats being vinyl. Makes it pretty easy now that it comes in a spray can.

I never said that the seats in the 1.8T weren't nice. But their not leather. Hell my 97 had leatherette and looked very nice for a 11 year old interior.
