Anyone take their door strips off?

I've only seen one car without the bump strips on the door. It was one of the custom widebody show cars from a few years ago with the I, Robot rings on the back. Looked good but I'd like to see how a door strip delete would look on a regular non widebody b6. I think that would look pretty cool.

Anyone have a pic of that by chance?

If you do remove them, I think filling the mounting holes and leaving the recess would look better then filling them in. The door looks to big without something breaking it up.

I like the doors without the strips because it makes the car look lower and the greenhouse look not as tall, more sporty and less boxy. Just my opinion.

Completely smooth, no recess? To each his own. That's what makes each car different.

Oh I see what you are saying. I didn't even consider that. Either way, just as long as the strips were off. I don't know why but the strips bug the shit out of me.

It sounds to me like you need to peel 'em off! Fill the holes, apply touch-up paint, and look at it for a few days. If you decide that you like it, re-sand and get it painted up right. If you don't, you can always fill in the area later.
    Regards.

Yea sorry I don't know why I did that in the B7 section instead of over here in my B6 home, but there was a guy with a blue B6, fenderflaired also I think, that removed the strips. It did look like the door was too long/tall whatever.

I would rather spend the time/money shaving the handles or shaving the bumper lines.
