vibration when braking at high speeds

I'm trying to nail down whether I have a brake rotor issue or a suspension issue. When I brak at speeds over 60/70, i get a vibration. Could it be a bad alignment? Bent control arms? ( i've had some pretty bad bumps in the last year, one resulted in a bent rim) Or Could it just be a bad alignment?

Braking, hard or soft at slow speeds yields no vibration.

also check your rotors for un-even pad deposits.

I had this happen on a set of slotted and cross drilled rotors. Turned out they were warped. Swapping them out solved the issue.

One thing I learned on that one was not to hit the rotors with water when they are hot. Baaad juju.

    Yup.

Try re-bedding your brakes dubenvy and see it that helps at all. If so, re-bed again.

Had the same problem on my Galfer brakes. Its the discs been warped. Change them and if you cant afford that re-bed them.

tie rod ends were bad and the car was out of alignment. Brakes need to go too. 70k miles on original brakes. Pads don't squeal or anything, but the rotors need to go. Stoptech Stage 2 with 3.0l front rotors here we go!

    UPDATE!!!

Turns out it wasn't rotors. I flipped my Hub-Rings when rotating tires and it all went away. Luckily, my appointment to get the brakes fixed was this coming monday. Glad i can cancel that. Almost made a very expensive mistake.

Hubcentric rings; insert into the center bore of the wheel and therefore make the wheel hubcentric (means that the wheel will sit spot-on on the nose of the wheel hub(in the center of the rotor essentially) and you'll easily be able to quickly install all 5 lugs). If a wheel isn't hubcentric, when you put the wheel on the hub, it would "fall" down a 1/2" or so and you'd need to hold the wheel up to be able to insert all 5 lugs.
