Let's break it down, shall we?

K..had my S-Line rear fabbed for quad exhaust. Attention to detail: you prolly can't tell from the pics, but the new exhaust cutout has the inner cutout wall/lip like the original. The bumper is basically like OEM, but SICKER!

I believe that would be the reflection of the tips. Looks good, nice job! What exhaust did you use?

Wow, I feel stupid. I didn't know the black part of the bumper was glossy, I thought it was like the S4 and just a flat color

One of the best looking rear ends I've ever seen. So hot, so clean, nicely done guy. And good job keeping your car well detailed. Your paint looks incredible, so deep and so vibrant.

Tips aren't black chrome. Just semi-gloss. Everything was custom.

    Thanks for the compliments.

Ok... so Ill ask on AZ since youre not answering my question in Fortitude....

1.) What exhaust setup is it? i.e. if custom, what muffler? Do you have any pics of underneath the car?

2.) For the rear valance, did the shop mold in the tow hook cover and then cut out the exhaust cutout? Or did they infuse to lower valances together?

Semi-Gloss paint?? That would not hold up with the heat would it? even Powder coating would come off i would think..

So is the lower part the factory lower bumper? If so how did it get shinny? Or did you buy a lower bumper somewhere?

LOL. So Fresh, you need to calm down. Maybe you also need to realize the fact that I didn't have time to reply. Or maybe I just didn't feel like responding to your questions because of your demanding e-tone. Anyway, to everybody else, the tips are semi-gloss. Not painted, not powdercoated. But it was done in a different process where they were seemingly dipped to achieve the finish. I'm not exactly sure, what it is, but if you ask Robots are Neon (black B7 S4 w/ orange accents), he might know, cuz the guy who did them for me also did his. For the rear valence, the reason it was shiny is because it was painted gloss black.

Whoa... I was just kidding around, just wanted to know.... just seems as if all you're good at on here is cross posting the same pics from Fortitude to here (which is funny cause you mentioned you didnt have time to answer some questions.... you're right, takes so much time to cross post every pic)... you never seem to answer about 85% of the questions asked, probably due to lack of knowledge about your own car (this is just an assumption since you cant seem to answer anyone, unless its basic and simple, I.E. "yes they are gloss black"(reason you know that answer is because you ordered them and read their description, so you knew the answer to that question))

once again... you didnt answer my question(s), so now im just gonna assume that you have no idea how the shop actually did your rear lip since you just paid to have it done... anyways, I think I heard your mom yelling in the background that its past your bed time...

    Re: AMG LOL. Pic INTENSIVE!

LOL. past my bed time? It was 7 in the morning. Did you not see the daylight?

I know everything about my exhaust setup and the bodywork done to it. I know everything about the bodywork and what was necessary to achieve the result. I've spent plenty of time with the guys who worked on my car and discussed exactly how I wanted it. I simply choose not to tell you. . The only thing I really don't know is the exact process used to finish the tips. I know the shop I took my car to outsourced the tips and from the result, I can tell they were dipped.

I simply wish to ignore you, any questions, or comments you may have for me. I see you're acting a little immature now.

As for those reading, I don't mean to come off as an arrogant/ignorant jerk. I just didn't appreciate the attitude I was sensing from this character. If you have any further questions, send me a PM and I can assess whatever concerns you may have.

come on now :| what's with the negative attitude? both of you are enthusiasts, don't make this seem like some BMW forum now :P. btw..nice car, but I never understood the reason for quad tips on a 4cyl car :| It looks nice and all, but just a bit outta place :P

Never expected any performance gains over a dual tip exhaust. Just thought I'd venture out a little and do something different. I'm very happy with the outcome, however. So the fact that it doesn't give me any advantage over all those other guys with aftermarket dual tip catback exhausts doesn't really matter to me.

    Re: AMG LOL. Pic INTENSIVE!

I dont know why you were even sensing any attitude from me to begin with, all I simply asked was the process in which was used on the rear valance as well as the muffler, I originally asked on Fortitude, however you never answered, you just said thanks to all the pic comments.

So, I dont know what I did to "give you attitude", but I apologize if anything came across rude. The reason why I asked was simply cause I've been planning on doing something similar and the process I was going to due was simply mold the tow hook cover into the lower part, then copy the exact same cutout on the passenger side as the drivers side. It looks like the shop you took yours too did the same method. I just want to know what product they chose to use on molding the plastic tow hook cover into the rest of the valance.

Also, off topic, may be 7am there, but its now 1am here in WA.

I mean you gotta look at it this way, you can post duplicate pics in every forum and then not expect people to ask some questions....

    Re: AMG LOL. Pic INTENSIVE!

I guess it was just all the negative connotation I felt in your choice of words and expressions. Anyway, it can be dropped. I just thought you were getting kinda pushy. My mistake. There was obviously a lack of understanding here. And since we're being gentlemen, I give you my apology as well.

Here is your definite answer: yes, the towhook cover was molded in and the cutout on the right was duplicated by tracing the shape of the original. It was also painted gloss black.

Majority of the reason why I am being so vague, is because as a car enthusiast, I realize I won't be the only one with this type of mod, but I prefer to keep specifics to a minimum, in order to reduce the chances of 2 people running the same exact setup. I know I want to be unique, and I'm sure others want to have a setup of their own going on, as well.

Sweet, thanks! Im just in search of what product to use to mold with since its plastic on plastic, and I dont want it to crack later down the road.

Are you going to install an aftermarket rear tow hook somewhere underneath so incase you need one you have one?

Well, understandable, however its kinda ironic since we both are running the same wheels, and our rears are the same... both debadged with black rings... only thing we have different is our fronts, im non s-line, and I soon plan on S3 front...

I have been working on a similar rear lower valance because I want mine to look more like an S4 avant (pure sexiness). I plan on running single tipped exhaust however.

Well they look good. I like the oem s-line rear the most with dual cutouts mainly because I dont like how the oetty rear valance kinda squares out on the edges. I do however like the Caractere rear lower cause it looks more oem and like the s4 avant rear:

Yup, just like that, looks sexy! I see you kept the tow hook cover, Did you have to do any modifications to the tow hook cover insert part to keep it staying in there when you trimmed its lower left side corner for the exhuast cut out?
the right side is just a photoshop

i measured it and the towhook cover will need to be cut 1/2 way in or so..

I might cut it tonight when i get home from work..
I'll make a new post about it

SoFresh... Just like that, but not just with PhotoShop.

On your white car, that would look great. Especially if you got the tips Titanium Carbon Nitride coated (black chrome effect).
