    Help Resurface Flywheel???

Is it mandatory to resurface the flywheel if it looks to be in good shape? I will be installing VAST's stage 3 ceramic if that makes a difference, and removing the old RS4 that was installed 13k ago.

    Thanks!

If in good shape, no, it doesn't need to be resurfaced.

I'd consider replacing it though, with a lighter, single mass unit.

If it's checked, and found to be within spec, it doesn't need to be.

If it's not within spec, it needs to be replaced. It needs to be resurfaced regardless if you want proper clutch clamping power and wear patterns.

Yea lightweight flywheels are not recommended with the ceramic.

I'm just kind of weary to get it resurfaced by a shop here in MT that has prolly doesn't even know what an S4 is. Should have coughed up the extra $$ and just ordered one from VAST.

    Resurfaced it is thanks Jerbel/Jordan!
