Re: Wheel offset question for a NEWB!

My new wheels have a offset of +35mm. But in order for the front wheels to clear my B5S4 brakes I had to run a 8mm spacer, which brings the total offset to +27mm, and on Eiback springs (which is SLIGHTLY lower than 02 sport suspension) I still rub in the front on dips.

Not only that, that is on a 8" wide rim, so you might poke even more with a 8.5" wide rim.

So if you are on race springs, I cannot seeing it fit. With a +27/28mm offset the front wheels cannot tuck into the fender, and unlike the rear, the fronts camber cannot be adjust independently.

I cannot see how you would get the wheels to fit

Re: Wheel offset question for a NEWB!

I think it may work with some poke and rub... :) Not positive though.. the hubcentric rings if required should of came with the wheels unless you bought them used, in that case you'll need to contact the makers for a set for our cars and their wheels..

Re: Wheel offset question for a NEWB!

Oh also why are you running 245 is that a smaller sidewall or larger than the recommended 235? The center caps will depend on the wheel if they ahve Audi caps.. so unless you are going to spill the beans on what kind it may be tough IIRC

Definitely gonna rub, needs a 235 and still will rub on bumps. My Reserve's I had were 19x8 final offset with spacers of ET28 to clear my Alcon's, with 235/35, front 1" higher than my car is now rubbed on pretty much every bump I hit

    So for an update:

i payed $50 more and from somewhere closer to my house got the same CLS wheels 18x8.5 ET35 and he threw in a new set of MBZ center caps with removable stars for free as well as lugs, so $375 for brand new wheels in the box! sounds good!

What was your fender to ground clearance with those wheels? What suspension were you on at that time? With my +27mm offset on the front wheels, I dont think I can go much lower with my Eibach springs.....
