    Alright I'm Running Out Of Fuel ...

    Well now that I know the fuel system is back in tip top shape, started upping the boost with the new turbo. I think Ive finally hit a fueling limit, now is it from the pump, injectors, octane, or something else Im missing?

    Used to run 27.6psi with the 3071R and never had an A/F problem, was always around 11.7-11.9 on high boost

    Here's a 20psi, T6, 3rd gear log



    Now A/F gets beyond my comfort @ 25psi, T6, was using 5th gear so the power oncome would be smoother and I could watch the boost and A/F better. Everything is good till the upper 4's then it starts to go lean (12.8-13.0) and I got out of it



    I dont think its the octane, no CF's Not sure if its the injectors, pump, fuel pressure ... any opinions?

    It goes up to .883 and I saw the wideband go as high as 13.0, thats nothing to worry about?

    Still too slow lol but feels much much better! Just the motor alone is better and there is a noticeable difference between the 3071 and 3076!

    With meth? No, on Cali 91 from ARCO? Maybe...

    Our cars can compensate for knock very well, just log your knock voltages to make sure that the sensors are torqued correctly and you are getting accurate values.

    Noticeable as in a dyno pull, QM time or a CAPS run? Quantitative results are the best...the butt dyno can lie.

    usually fuelcut is a pretty dramatic thing... can you log injector duty cycle? if you're not at 100%, you can point the finger at the fuel pump, as if your fpr could handle 27psi, it can certainly take 25psi...

    The motor itself is the most noticeable, runs much smoother, revs faster, just all around feels more solid. Other than that, straight up butt dyno talking! lol

    93 and meth yes, I didnt touch the knock sensors when the motor was out so they should be the same as before. What channel is that do you know?

    It's not octane. It's not your injectors. (630cc right?) It's not pressure. It's most definitely your fuel pump. Im sure it's stock and the original right? Did you log with this file before with your previous setup? I can't remember. Either way, you should definitely start with your pump. It's a good investment either way.

    Dirtybyrd seems to be doing fine on the stock pump and he is most likely making more power. It could be the pump though becuase I doubt it is the injectors.

    If it's starting to fail, i.e. old, than you would definitely see this happen. Mine died on the freeway, just after I changed files and turbos. It requested more fuel and slowly I could feel power coming down. Like I said, it's not your injectors, or pressure. Log injector duty cycle and you will see.

    Besides that, noone has even shown a dyno over 330whp on a b6 that I know, so that may also be a reason why noone has NEEDED it yet.

    Btw, to log injector duty, log block 002. Then you have to do some math.
    Duty cycle = inj time / 1200 * RPM

    Not that I'm doubting that (remember I pleaded with you to get the 3076 from the get go for your power needs) but fact is, noone has shown a high dyno, therefore it's all speculation on the threshold of the pump at this point. It could be 350whp and it starts to take a shit. Who knows?

    block 026 is knock voltages. Using semi solid "stasis" engine mounts I maxed my knock voltages all the time. With the street density 034 mounts I haven't maxed them out since. Not like that info does anything for you, just pointing out the fact since people always told me engine mounts do not effect knock sensor voltage readings...

    I see 950deg C all the time, damn elevation and heat!

    I'll be dyno'ing in 1.5weeks down in Cali. I hope to put out 370-380whp uncorrected with 550cc's and stock pump.

    Thres a B6 in NJ hes on here but doesnt post much, hes at 350awhp but he upgraded the pump tho

    I'm not saying that Shawn's pump is good or bad. But, my pump is 98k miles old and I run 630's. I know my car is about 380AWHP on pump 24psi and straight water, no meth. Also the stock o2 sensor will not read higher then 995 degrees. I do like the looks of that PnP standalone.

    I know, I've hit 995deg C up here in the summer with the K04 (ecode fmic), GTRS (ecode & ER Comp FMIC), and T25 2871R (ER Comp). Turbos do not like being pushed to 23+ psi up here that's for sure lol. We all need to get real egt gauges anyway.

    i tuned timing on a stock car with an egt and peak torque readings, it can be a very helpful tool
