K, this is me @ 6th gear around 62mph, just flooring it. You see where it hits full boost for a second or two, dips off, then hits 15 again, is that normal?

It does it a bit more drastically in other gears, and it doesn't do it all the time either. (heaven forbid our cars do anything consistent)

Everything looks normal to me. Does not seem to dip down to bad. When I think of dipping low is 5 psi or more and back up. Yours is fine, that is if your only running k03s. Your turbo spools up qiuck, then settle down and seems to hold just fine.

Yah, only have the k03's, its a bit worse in other gears, but never as much as 5psi.

Looks good to me. That could be just a slight twitch of your foot that you don't even realize. I think it's just a slight dip in a normal power band.

It's normal for Ko3's. Don't worry bout it.

looks good... i mean tapering while the RPMs goes up is what you want by redline you dont want to be pushing too much with the stock turbos... also, you titled it "lag check". first thing is 6th gear @ 62 is going to take a while to spool it up. what RPM were you @ in 6th while hitting WOT? my guess 62 is in 6th is going to be less than 3k, like maybe 2700-2800?

Re: Is this normal? (video included)

yeah so i mean its going to lag for sure.... how many miles on the car? if you are positive the car has no boost leaks ( you should check ) it can over-work the turbos and lead to premature DEATH! lol, but also things like diverter valves as S4ource mentioned, and N75 which controls the boost frequency.

Re: Is this normal? (video included)

you're misunderstanding the reason for my post, I was just curious about the dip in boost once I hit 15psi. Its drops only 1-2 psi in the video there, but in other gears @ other rpms it can be a bit more. But everyone says its normal - I wasn't worried too much, the car pulls fine, you can't even notice the dip in boost pressure.

im not worried about boost leaks or dv's or anything. They're all fine (just replaced my tbb)

Re: Is this normal? (video included)

It could be something you'd never think of like stock intercoolers pressure-dropping in the later RPM's and then the APR tuning adapting the boost pressure back up to compensate, thus appearing as a brief dip.

Or something of the like...I guess it could never hurt to pressure test if you suspect something.

Has the APR tune and/or your car always done this?
