    Coolant Temp Sensor

Question for all you, I just installed a new coolant temp sensor last night and I would say I had probably less that a quart of coolant spill out where the sensor sits. Anyone know what type of coolant(if any) I need to refill the tank with. I don't know if there is a certain type I need. Also, the clip that holds it into place was put in from the other direction because my hands are too big to get it back in the way it came from. Will this make a difference or as long as its in there and not moving will it be fine?

    Re: Coolant Temp Sensor

If the sensor is seated correctly you can insert the clip either direction 180deg, never 90deg from its original position. Just top up the reservior with distilled water and you are good to go. Water has better cooling properties over G12 coolant. You can run 70% water and 30% G12 coolant even in the winter months and it will not freeze.
