making the longitudinal cars RWD only isn't real hard.

Basically remove the front axles, and weld/spline the center diff. Done.

I also enjoyed watchin a RWD Audi win the burnout contest at Waterfest. Shit blew up. Not entirely sure what popped, but there was considerable smoke from under the hood... and belts flew off.

I have no problems spinning the tires all the way thru 1st gear, thats even on drag radials and at the track. If I was to slap on some steet tires I could most likely do it thru 2nd too. If I wanted to sit in one place to burn tires I would have kept my eclipse or bought a FWD A4. Going 0 mph while running at 6500-7k rpm's doesn't exactly float my boat, but it isn't like I haven't done it before in a 400whp GTI.

AWD "burnouts" are cool. Part of the reason I love the winter, and last winter my car was stock.

Brake stands, brake torquing, burnouts, what ever you want to call it is fun, for heating the tires before a run...

woah say my buddy has an extra center diff and i have stock set of wheels with tire about to pop and no car to pop them with , your telling me theres nothing up front on say a .. 98 quattro A4 i need to weld or anything to make it rwd like that black A4 in the video !? hmmm

At some point I was planning on having an actual spool made.

You wouldn't have to remove the front axles then, b/c they wouldn't be receiving any power. I would still remove them, but I wouldn't have to.

The absence of front axles opens up a lot of room in the engine bay. NTM the fact that you could move the engine more towards the rear/bulkhead.
