Puddle = Cracked Fog Light :(

I left the gym and it was pouring...I hit the main road and there was this huge unavoidable puddle and I hit it going like 25 mph. As soon as I hit it I got an error message for the right front fog light. I'm guessing the cool water and the hot bulb caused it to shatter :(

I checked it out after I pulled over and the right fog was all fogged up and I noticed pieces of the bulb inside the housing.

Is there anyway I can remove the shattered pieces from the housing? I haven't removed the light from the car so I haven't looked at the back.

    Thanks,
    Nick

Just remove the plastic grill, and unbolt the three torx screws and then just remove the bulb and shake the pieces out.

    Its really that simple.

Also, no water should have entered in, so you might want to look around the housing for a possible crack, or maybe the bulb was not seated right....

Thanks! I'll try to get some pics and an update this weekend when I fix it.

Yea I don't know how water got into it as well, but its all fogged up. I think it may because I removed the big plastic skid plate from the car when I got it b/c it had only 2 screws holding it in place!

Same thing happened to me. Pulled it out and cleaned it out. Then put in some Luminics bulbs. It's really a straightforward process.
