I started a thread a couple days ago titled "Revo Question." It failed to get any responses as I believe people thought it a generic question about revo vs apr... etc..

I just wanted to know for those who upgraded from stg1 to stg2, what you paid. I tried a search but got about 100 pages and went through about 20 with no useful information . So here is my question

I have a shop that wants to charge me about $250. This sounds wayyy too much from what I have heard audiziners paying.

    Breakdown:
$100 for upgrade (when I did research I see a lot of people saying its only $50) which is true??

Then he wants to charge me an hour of shop time (@ 120+ hr rate )to do the download/tune.... Is this true?? isn't this just 5 min download and go?

its bogus. I paid 50 dollars and even thats a rip off. Its a simple flash. You should be charged no more then 30min shop time (that seems to be the going rate). Call Revo directly if a shop is giving you a hard time.

Re: Cost of Revo Stg 2 upgrade.

i think it's a flat fee of $100 to upgrade to REVO Stg 2 at my local shop. good advice listed above...call REVO about the shop if they're asking $250.

Re: Cost of Revo Stg 2 upgrade.

I paid $50 with no charge for the shop time. I called Revo before I did and they confirmed it should be $50 to upgrade programs. If they want to charge you shop time then I say that's a shop that doesn't deserve your business. The way I believe it works is the shop has to pay revo a fee for each flash they do, so the only shop time should be verifying that you ecu already has a revo program which they shouldn't charge for.
