help with wheel/tire size

so I'm about to buy some 18x8 OZs with 235/40 tires on them.I'm getting a great deal, just worried about one thing: my car sits very low I have he race springs. My own wheels barely fit in the fender now. Does anyone know if these will fit?

The tire size shouldn't matter so long as you keep the same ratios. For instance, a 17" tire w/ measurements 235/45/17 will be "equal" to that of a 19 with 235/35/19, same goes with an 18 of 235/40/18. You run into problems when you try to run a wider tire, or one with a larger sidewall, like going with a 245/45/18

I run 235/40/18 on my A6. You might want to consider 225/40/18 since it will be less likely to rub on your lowered B5 chassis.

ok. I'm going from my OEM 17x7.5 with 225/45 to the 18x8 with 235/40. Will that keep the ratio the same because the overall diameter is increasing? someone please help!!!

17x7.5 with 225/45 -> height of tire+wheel=634.3mm
diameter=1991.702mm
18x8 with 235/40 -> height of tire+wheel=645.2mm
diameter=2025.928mm
FYI, you will never find exactly same size when you going bigger.
225/40 is closest you can get. height=637.2mm
diameter=2000.808mm

I'm not really positive since you have a B5 platform, but the B6 stock 17 x 7.5 run 235/45.. you might want to double check your numbers..

I was gonna run a 235/40/18 but decided to go with 19s a few days ago (after waterfest lol)
