Upgraded to APR Stage 1 today, wanted to get the deal before the end of the month. Now after doing some research and searches I have come to the conclusion that I will more than likely be replacing the DV and possibly the TIP. Is there anything else that might start giving me issue with the added boost?
Currently I have a new Forge 007 with a green spring new in the box, to replace the stock DV in the case it goes out.
I have a AWE boost gauge coming will be here Thursday, so I can keep an eye on the boost.
Trying to decide what TIP to go with. I am prepping the car for a K04 next summer. (K04 and supporting mods will be as high as I take her). I have heard samco and apr make nice replacement TIP’s.
Now on to the more important discussion. Has anyone run a chipped car on octane booster? Sadly Alaska is horrible in the fact that the highest octane obtainable at the pump is 90. So the shop where I got flashed sells Torco Octane booster. These guys tune everything from trucks to STi’s, EVO’s and vag’s. And say that they have no issues running flashed 93 octane files on the vag’s with octane booster. Anyone have any experience with this. I am currently running in stock mode till my next fill up where I will use the Torco and then kick her into 93 mode and see what happens.
