Well, new to me. I picked up a 2006 S4 25th Anniversary Edition. One hell of a change over my old Benz C Class.

welcome to Audizine! Nice to see another 25quattro owner like myself, I don't think there are many of us on here. What # is it? You can tell by the last 3 digits of your VIN.

Knew the VIN trick... I've been a member over at another Audi forum since long before I bought the car. ;-) I've been reading about this one since they announced the production. The gmbh car has been something that I lusted for. I just had to wait for income to make the payment easy, and then find one.

They made 250 for the US. All were 6spd Manual Avus Silver sedans.

The 25quattro was a 2006 only and was modeled after the Audi DTM A4 race car. The very next year Audi released the DTM package for the S4 which shares pretty much the same body upgrades except for the rear valence, which was a dual tip for the 25quattro instead of a quad tip for the DTM. The 25quatto also has a unique two tone interior. There is a DTM A4 in europe only, but I don't know which came out first, the S4 or the A4 DTM. Someone in the B7 A4 section has one.

Essentially, the 25quattro was the first "DTM" for the US.

Exactly. The DTM A4 was available first in Europe and AoA thought it would be a nice idea to create the 25th anniversary with that body kit, among other things. I got mine when they first came out and it's fantastic. I'm actually glad to see so many people get the DTM version of the 2007+ S4 because it just reinforced how good 25q looks in person.

They are metal. It was shot in the dark.

That's where the front plate goes. And I have no choice in the front plate matter. WA requires one, so I can't just get away with the filler. I will have custom plates made.

Welcome I just got a 2008 S4 with the DTM package in Phantom black and I hear you on the front plate thing. Cops all over the place are picking on the front plate issue due to NSA and terrorism... Regardless of your stand on that issue may be, I do hate having to not have a filler plate up front. Interresting enough there was a booth at Waterfest in NJ this past weekend that was selling this hideaway gizmo. It mounts under your bumper and literally your able to slide your front plate in and out of the way. So If you wanna rock your front clean you can and when the cop pulls you over you can tell him you forgot to pull it out and just correct the problem on the spot. Maybe even increasing your chance that he may not ticket you. I know in NJ if you get improper plate ticket it stays on your record for a long a$$ time.

Out here it's more of the "certain members of the LEO community being uptight about it," than a security issue..

IMHO, they are spending more and more on LASER speed guns and want to have that nice reflective target... It's more of a "revenue" issue.
