My good Luck has fallen

I have had my car for about 4yrs now, never had any problems Till today. drove car all day yesterday with no issue, today i notice my batt light on. figured id check connections when i get home. While heading to the house i see the volt gauge falling a i drive. by the time i get on my street the car starts to die then regain power... any ideas??

I was told Its the alternator then i was told its the fuse for the alternator... Didnt even know it had a fuse...

my guess is that it is the alternator

alternator. i'd change the battery too if it's original. easy job if it's a 1.8 but if it's a 2.8 you'll need to move the front end forward or off if you don't like to wedging things around

sounds like the alternator def. My girls went out like 2 weeks ago, same symptoms.

There is a fuse, actually I think its a fusible link thats part of the heavy wire to the alternator, but they rarely go bad. The failed part is usually the regulator/rectifier assembly inside but that thing is nearly the price of a complete alternator.
