Can someone please give me directions to the Berlin Turnpike in CT? I want to say you start by taking exit 69 off 95 south in CT (coming from RI).

    Thanks!

Shoot up I91 and get onto route 9 north. Then get onto 5/15 north (aka: berlin turnpike)

Or, a faster way coming from RI... Take I95 south to Rt9 north up into Middletown. Go through Middletown and cross over I91. Then take 5/15 north off of route 9

When you say cross over I91, you mean just stay on 9N right? Do you happen to know the exit number off Rt. 9 for 5/15N?

    Thanks!

I'd imagine Googlemaps or Mapquest would be better bet than asking personal directions

why are you coming all the way up here? i never thought the turnpike would attract someone's undivided attention from another state.

I was up there a few years ago when I had a S/C Mustang and had fun cruising around ... is there still a large turnout of cars running around? There is nothing really like that here in RI ..

What time do the cars start ruling the streets? Is there a particular place the Euro cars hang out? I know before the imports would be at Taco Bell and a lot of American Muscle at Dunkin Donuts.

Hey, were you at McDonlalds last night around I think ten last night on the pike with the imola yellow b6 s4? I was in the silver b5 a4 that went through the drive through. I would've stopped, but I had to get my sister from the movies. Hopefully you didn't see my little mishap. I was paying more attention to your car than the curb

The berlin turnpike is pretty much my backyard, but I haven't noticed any particular place that euro's hang out on saturdays, although I try to stay off the turnpike friday/saturday night if I can because of all the cops, plus the backroads are usually quicker. I'd be willing to meet up sometime tonight if you wanted though since now I have a car worth bringing. Let me know.

mcster - it started getting good around 9:30-10. There weren't many euros. My friend with a 335xi showed up. Then, some other person with a 330i came over and parked near us. Mostly Japanese and American cars tho.

xraycer2012 - yup, was in McDonalds all night. Bought some food there just before the cops came, so we didn't have to scatter like the rest of the people did when the cops showed up :). I might be going again tonight. I'll post up here if I am. It'd be cool to have more Audis around since I was a small, out of place, minority last night. And, don't worry, didn't see your mishap. Curbing happens, it is what it is...

Re: Berlin Turnpike - from 95

wow. you got lucky. The cops are the reason why I don't really like the pike. It's getting ridiculous. Tonight when I was down by the taco bell, I saw a WRX waiting at a light and a minute later a cop pulled out and followed him down the turnpike when the light changed. The guy was shifting at like 1000rpm to keep his car quiet. All he did was pull out of the taco bell parking lot. I know what you mean about being the minority. It sucks. If you can, there's a gtg at the Dunkin' Donuts across from hooters every wednesday night on the turnpike. It's Audi's and VW's only but there's usually only a couple of Audis. If you can make it that would be cool. It'd be nice to see some more Audi's there. It starts at 8:00 but I usually get there around 8:30. I'm glad you didn't see me hit the curb. It wasn't bad, but I felt like a complete idiot.

Maybe I'll stop by. Will probably be working in Hartford til 8 anyways. It's sort of on the way home. How about next time we'll start a thread about hitting up the tpke? I think next weekend is out for me but the following weekend could work...

Sounds good. It would be nice to get a decent size group of Audis together on a friday or saturday. I'll have to check my schedule, I'm going on vacation soon but I can't remember the exact dates of the top of my head.
