What causes a white tip on an o2 sensor?

I have had to change out my o2 sensor twice in the past 30k miles... I use Mobil 1 synthetic and do NOT burn any oil... I have always used approved sealants when doing gaskets, I have perfect compression across the board and haven't leaked a drop of coolant in the past 50k since I have had the car... I used Chevron premium gas or Texaco... I don't know why my o2's are crapping out all the time and with a 2001, they ain't cheap or easy to find...

my o2 sensor tips have always been white or grey after use.

Should be normal, sensor would only be black if the car is running rich.

Well Mike, changed the o2 sensor and IAT sensor and didn't make a difference... However, I tried to do a TBA with VAG and got an error... Why? MY BATTERY DIED! WOOHOO!! Now I have to get a new battery for fuck's sake... But, I was able to start the car and drive around... It didn't make any difference and I am still getting the same readings... What is my load supposed to be at? I guess requested boost is calculated from load readings and I am getting a whopping 160% load max... I thought it should be a lot higher with a chip...

You should hit 191 load. Could be the maf causing the issues.

I don't think it is the MAF as I have had 3 in there since the issue started... They were all used though and now my new MAF is better than ever yet the issue remains...

Maybe a bad wire or harness plug causing a lower reading then what it should be, leak between the maf and turbo or the turbo is on its way out.

Maf readings are good... No leaks... But would the turbo cause the low requested boost I have been having?
