We've got genuine Audi pipes in stock now. No welds to worry about cracking, come with the factory flow straightener, and of course a perfect fit everytime.

    My viewpoint exactly!

Somewhere down the chain someone is making a KILLING off of these things. I mean 4 bent black pipes? I would be amazed if it cost more than 30 bucks to make these. Yet somehow by the time it gets to the consumer they are charging $550??! Ho please...

When there are no alternatives. . .Audi can charge whatever they want. That's the beauty of being the exclusive manufacturer of a high demand, mandatory part. Truthfully, who can blame them? That's what hustin' is all about. . .until now. jdm & 034 ftmfw.

    Re: New RS4 Pipes ??

If this pipe ever by some miracle cracked I will frame it and stick it above my fire place.. I would replace it without a doubt, but it can never crack the weld is actually a lot stronger then the material next to it ie the pipe itself, plus the pipe has give in it as it's mounted by a coupler...

I'm not suggesting the welds are going to crack, but are you guys kidding me when you say the inlets are not exposed to much heat? They're right underneath the damn exhaust manifolds.

    Re: New RS4 Pipes ??

The inlet pipes aren't going through heat cycles and it's drawing in uncompressed air. It's not going to crack from indirect heat exposure... just look at the welded bracket on the pipe in your pic. That hasn't cracked.

Because they make money selling rs4 pipes. And they lose money when someone buys your pipes.

Have you look at the crappy welds on the stock manifolds which could hit 1600 degrees, if that survived i wouldn't worry. The hottest the inlet on the outside will ever get might be 200 degrees.. Do you no how much heat it takes to burn a weld if you did you wouldn't of made this most ridiculous statement..

By the way theres no welds on that pipe you posted there on the drivers side which has far more room and the welds are not even close to the manifold on that side. You have the thing wrapped which is making the pipe look much larger then it is...

Josh, when someone else recently posted a set of new rs4 pipes that had 10 welds in them I don't recall you saying anything hmmmm..
Ummm, are you kidding me dude? You MUST be illiterate. The first thing i said in my post was "I'm not suggesting the welds are going to crack." I was contradicting what someone had said about the inlet pipe's exposure to heat. I said nothing about your product.

    Re: New RS4 Pipes ??

Wow, amazing how you guys can twist my words.

I have no experience with those pipes on eBay. I never suggested that there was anything wrong with these pipes in particular, I've never seen, handled or used them. What I have seen if people who can't weld try to put pipes together. Inevitably they crack due to poor welding or poor materials, or just poor fitment, causing stress in areas they shouldn't.

Now, if you guys have experience with these pipes and they work, then more power to you. They're a great price, and if they work well, then great. I have no problems with competition, the more the merrier. I don't make a living selling RS4 inlets, so if there are other options it's no skin off my back.

But when people link to products on eBay, with little info to back them up, it's natural reaction to approach those products with some hesitation. There's a LOT of junk on eBay. Since these guys aren't advertisers here or Audiworld, there's some obvious skepticism on the product. Don't take it personally, it's not meant to be.

Good luck with them if they are indeed as good as people are saying.

Just for a heads up on Gen JDM inlets, I have them on my car, minor work has to be done to get em to fit, nothing you couldn't do your self. Also, he will help you out over the phone and help you in anyway. Good guy!
