I never heard my turbo spool before today!

So a few days ago I found out that one of my wheel speed sensors was malfunctioning. I took off my front wheels and discovered that the wiring harness that goes to this sensor was rubbing up against my wheel because im dropped and it was causing a short. I repaired it by using electrical tape and secured it so that it would not happen again.

Immediately the car performed better, but I didn't really step on it until today.. I don't know what I did, but the car has never pulled like this. I always wondered why I didn't hear the turbo spool like I do on my Passat or my old S4..

Could a malfunctioning speed sensor cause this?

ESP has probably been on the entire time due to one wheel not moving as far as the ECUs concerned, causing the electronic DV to never seal. To my knowledge that's how our traction control works. You may very well have never experienced boost! Haha, actually that's unlikely but it's funny to think.

I am 100% sure there is a dramatic change. Its not in my head.. lol

I drove to work this morning, the car pulls, I can hear the turbo spool, I am sure that the car was boosting almost nothing, or I was in limp mode this entire time. This is a brand new car, and I couldn't be happier, except I dont know if its related to the wheel speed sensor, or maybe something else that is still malfunctioning. So far so good!

i can only hear mine above 4500rpm, not like the b6 where i could always hear it.

could anyone define spool? i hear a high a pitched noise above 5500rpm.. do you guys hear that noise?
