Received my coilovers

Hi all,
Today I received my statis ss coilovers from performance cafe. I don't see any Stasis markings on the box or coilovers. My understanding is Stasis are using Koni equipment, but i figured their would be some markings. I'm going to put up some pictures if anyone can enlighten me. Either way, ill be installing them tomorrow.

Also, i didn't recieve any papers in the box. Stasis website says:

A. Adjust damper settings and ride height PREVIOUS to installing your kit. Refer to the adjustment
sheet included in your package.

Does anyone have a copy of this? I would like the car to be a bit lower than the Stasis preset, if in fact these are Stasis.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Advice for tomorrow also welcome.

i ordered koni coilovers from perfcafe and received the same package. i ordered mine about 2 weeks ago, and they told me no stasis available til at least august.

Conservative Street Setup
Between 1/16 and 1/32 TOE IN front and 1/32 TOE IN rear
Ride height at 25.875” front and 26.000” rear
(–1.0 camber front)

Aggressive Street Setup
Between 1/32 and 0 TOE IN on all four corners
Ride height at 25.500” front and 25.625” rear
(–1.5 to –1.75 camber front)

Track Setup
Between 0 and 1/16 TOE OUT on all four corners
Ride height at 25.000” front and 25.250” rear
(–2.0 to –3.0 camber front)

Not sure of the height, I had my dealership do it. Out the box from Achtuning and they went a bit lower from that. I then when to my dealership(where i work) and went lower! I also went from 18's to 19's so i have since adjusted them...

So the conclusion is that i ordered stasis and received konis instead. What height are konis preset at? lower/higher than stasis?

Konis are not preset, that is the main difference between buying from Stasis and buying a Koni setup. Hardware is exactly the same except Stasis comes with a spacer for the rear and Stasis presets ride height and rebound for you. I have mine set to 2.5" from the top of the thread in the front and about 5 threads in the rear. You don't have to lower the back much at all because Koni's set you below sport height even at the max height they can go.

These are KONI coilovers, not Stasis Street Sports. Sounds like a mistake.

I started the install today. I only got one corner done but didn't start until pretty late in the day. Overall a fairly easy and straight forward job.

I adjusted the dampening all the way to the right and than a half turn back on all 4. I want them stiff.

I adjusted the height for the fronts at 2.5 inches from the top of the threads like akaEsCo01 suggested. I lowered the car off the lift to check ride height. There is about a half an inch gap between the fender and tire. I never rolled it back off the lift, only straight down, so i am guessing it will end up dropping a little more once backed off and driven. If it will drop a bit than i will be happy with the ride height. Can anyone chime in if it will?

Tomorrow hopefully ill finish them and post some pictures.

Stasis were out of stock for a few weeks. I didn't want to make a big fuss out of since they are so similar. Ill be looking forward to putting up pics because it means ill be driving it

very exciting man! i'm getting mine installed friday. so any other info on your setup would be great. i think i may go for a slightly softer ride than you, but sounds like about the same height target. can't wait to see pics.

Finished the install. The rest went really quick. I took it for a test drive and am hearing a clanking sound on the back rear. It also seems like the fronts are making a slight springing noise. Anyways im gonna put it back on the lift and check things out, make sure all is tight and try and troubleshoot. Any suggestions welcome.

looked around and found 2 nuts a little loose. the rear is fine now. the fronts both make a click noise when the suspension is compressed quit a bit (when both me and my dad push down on the car hard a few times).

That is what i ordered. I talked to performance cafe and they said they sent out the standard koni kit because the stasis were back ordered. I could have chosen to send them back and wait but i felt confident that i could set them up correctly. Obviously im having a few problems pictures will come in an hour or 2.

i must have been drunk when i put together the front coilovers.. springs are upside down! such a stupid mistake. Anyways, taking everything off now hopefully will have it fixed in an hour or 2

fixed.. everything is perfect now. I was really debating coilovers and thought i would regret them but i dont have any doubts now. The ride is unbelievable. I have my settings at 2.5 inches from the top of the threads for the fronts and for the backs i screwed the perch all the way down and than 4 turns back. It ended up exactly how i wanted it. Heres a crappy picture i just took, better ones to come.

Here are some new pictures. I drove up to laguna today to pick up my cupra lip from oempl.us but i didn't install it yet. Great guys up there. Eventually ill be adding some BBS LM's unless i get swayed in another direction.

rough first day. ha. the guy who did the install had trouble adjusting the height with the coils on the car so it ended up being a little too low. they are on though. i've got to go back in a week or so to get them raised some. i'll be bringing your settings along to give him some reference.

We most certainly very specifically said you would be getting Koni's instead of the Street Sports due to the back order so you wouldn't have to wait! Anyways glad you are happy with your setup man looks sicky!

I'm gonna try to sway you. Your car looks unreal with the S-line 5-spokers. I would keep them and spend my money on other things.
