Hello everyone, im pretty new here and am learning a lot of about these cars. I have a 2002 audi a4 3.0 quattro and during the spring i turned on the economy button to stop the ac from turnin on and off, well here it is 100 degrees out and the economy button will not turn off and I get warm air. it stays illumnated orange, and when i press the auto button all i get is all the red bars going up blowing my warm outside air, am i missing somethin really big here haha im hoping not to have to bring it to the dealar as I am a conductor engineer on freight trains and it is really busy right now.
    Thanks!
    ~Billy

It's most likely your high pressure temp switch that went bad.

    Re: Economy button

You could need a recharge, or a new A/C compressor.

Hopefully the former rather than the latter, as a new compressor could cost about a grand.
