    2.5" Test Pipe

Is there one? Using a 3" TP that goes into a 2 1/4" or 2 1/2" exhaust doesn't add up in my book. Is this creating exhaust turbulence for anyone else?

It seems like either you're going to have too big or too small of a pipe. You want some restriction but not too much.

Should i just do a custom down pipe? Size???

Can anyone chime in an enlighten me... i'm goin' crazy on what to do with my exhaust, keeping performance in mind.

    TIA <3

i believe eurocode tp is 2.5 or 2.75, they dont make a three inch tp anywhere, a friend had his custom made to 3" just because of that

This is something that has been on my mind as well. While checking out Eurocode's website, I noticed that they sell a 3" test pipe for 160.00 and a 2.5" test pipe for 270.00. While I think the 2.5" one makes more sense as far as velocity of the exhaust gas is concerned, I have to ask why the price difference is so great. They are both of stainless steel construction, so what's the deal?

    Re: 2.5" Test Pipe

no for my dp i have apr, and that i am certain that its 2.5 inch, and since my tp bolts directly on to it, i am guessing its somewhere around that size as well

EDIT: i just looked online and infact i do have a 2.5 inch tp as well, i am getting the milltek 2.5 exhaust as well, therefore i will have a full 2.5 inch exhaust. that is. until i do my custom dp ;)

I'm not questioning weather or not there are 3" TP's, because i have the exact one you're talking about. This thread is about 2.5" test pipes.

to be honest i was always told that for turbo cars, "the bigger the better" as far as piping size for the exhaust goes. all N/A cars need certain diameter piping to create and maintain a certain amount of back pressure.... for turbo cars you want it to be able to force it out and get it out quick.. ie no restrictions..
