The new Classifieds Section just launched, figured we'd give it a bit of time and let you guys get familiar with it, before we added too much to it.

We're also still debating on whether or not to add Regional categories into the new Classifieds, or add Classifieds Subforums to the Regional Forums.

Thoughts and feedback are welcomed.

^^^ Well lets think about this...does anyone from North America want to pay for shipping from Europe on wheels/bumpers/exhausts? Almost certainly, no. I dont even look at the regular classifieds because I refuse to get raped by shipping/brokerage fees from the states which effectively double the asking price of any item.

vortex has a regional (canadian) classified subsection and its great...broken down to into parts/wheels/cars/misc

I've sold and bought many things from there and its good to know that most of the time you can meet up with the person and pay cash...save the shipping and duty fees.

This forum has much less canadian users, and as witnessed by how rarely the classified thread in this subsection gets updated, we might not be ready for our own classified section.

On the other hand though, a dedicated subsection may stimulate more sales activity from canadian users...

I know a lot of non registered people browse classfiieds (i used to all the time) so thats the first place they would probably look.

+1 for a regional classified subsection specifically for canada

There's no doubt that we'll soon be adding a classifieds subsection for our Canadian members, the real question at hand here is whether it would be it be better used/served in the forums (Canadian Regional Subforum) or the actual classifieds (Audizine Classifieds Subsection).

I've bought stuff from the US and shipped USPS and shipping charges are pretty low...ive never paid more than 35 dollars on shipping and never any surprise fees.

So it seems like if you guys would rather keep the part sales local (Canadian only), then a subforum here would be best. If you could go either way, then it would probably be best to keep it in the new Classifieds.

Keep in mind we'll also soon be implementing a Zip/Postal Code field and search into the new Classifieds, which should make buying and selling locally even easier.

The only problem with our classifieds is that it's one long page instead of individual posts. If we're up to page 5 and your FS thread is on page 3, you'll never get any exposure.

When we go forward it will no longer be just one thread so stuff won't get buried like that. It will be either a section in the Classifieds or a subforum here with individual threads per item.

As you may of noticed the Classifieds thread has been closed and moved from the main Canadian Regional Forum.

It can now be found in the Canadian Regional Classifieds Subforum. We hope this specific regional classifieds section helps all of the Canadian members in exchanging parts locally.
