Turbo making weird noise?

When I boost from about 5-11 pounds...I hear a sound that sounds almost like when you slowly let the air out of a balloon. any ideas?

is it hissing, be more descriptive, could be a boost leak, defective DV, did you change anything lately, is it stock...etc..

similiar sound was bent fins on the turbo... after installing afe intake and a gromet broke and went through the spin cycle.

Bent fins will sound like a jet engine or dentist drill. What DV are you using? Diaphrams DV's like the 710N go out whenever they feel like. I had a new one go in 2 weeks when I had a K04. Might want to pressure test the system.

Might want to take a look at the PCV valve and hoses, .......similar symtoms to yours.

Im using a generic billet aluminum diverter and ive had it on for about 8 months.
Im still holding around 20 pounds of boost its just that certain boost range where the noise happens.
