so i have a 05 1.8t and want to lower it. i have 55k miles ith warenty til 85k.
i was wonering what do u think is the cheepest and best rout to go with the lowering not looking for a massive drop due o pot holes here in chi town but enough to give my car a nice agreive look

Probably H&R, Eibach or Vogtland. They should give you a nice 1.5 drop.
Bummer, Vogtland was doing their springs for 150 @ WF over the weekend.

you'll have to replace your stock shocks eventually if you just upgrade the springs, as the more aggressive, lower springs will blow your shocks. 02 sport springs could be a good route if you don't want a bigger drop than that. i'm waiting until i have enough $$ for coilovers, so i'd recommend that over anything.

If you want a decent drop and not to expensive, i recommend looking in the classifieds for a full '02 sport suspension. My car came with it cuz i have an '02 and i think its a perfect drop or look. Im not sure how much a used '02 sport suspension but im guessing its alot cheaper then a whole coilover set up.

what about a pair of 05 ultra sport spring will those work and how much of a dop will that give me

It will lower the car but not as much as the '02. you might not even see to much of a difference from where your at now with '05 sport springs. But again the '02 is the one which will put a smile on your face!

It will be the lowest you can go without having to worry about hitting things (not including coils of course).

sports. Race is risky business if you are not going with a shock and spring combo specially this late in the game (50+K) sport is your best choice just reading on what you are looking for.

my Tein SS coilovers are wonderful; i just had the rear adjusted after driving it around for 6 months on mushier side. That and the rs4 rear sway make a nice and sensual couple.

i have Neuspeed race's and they are perfect for looks but MXRZ and Diagnosticator are right, go with Neuspeed sports if u want optimum handling but upgrade ur shocks and sways for the max effect!
