I got my car serviced the other day and they told me i need to change my rotors and pads because they were below spec and tried charging me $1100 so i was like nahh. But i want to know if changing the rotors would be a doable task for me and which ones to get. And pads also. Thanx guys

its easily doable yourself, i changed mine, rotors and pads, front and rear, in one night, and it was my first time doing it so it took my longer than it should have, just order new pads and rotors of ecstuning.com, and search for a diy intsructional

oh sooo easy, just need a caliper retract tool (can rent at autozone)

pickup some rotors for cheap from adam in the classifieds and hawk HPS... shouldnt cost you a few hundred bucks

i did a 3.0 upgrade from ECS with slotted/cross drilled rotors, all new pads, stainless steel brake lines and new fluid for about $1k... plus $4.95 for my labor (six pack beer)

also i wouldnt recommend ECS, their rotors rusted in a month and their service was effing terrible, i waited 3 months for my rotors... i called every week and they were "enroute"
