Squeak Somewhere Around Instrument Cluster

Hey all,

I have a squeak type rattle somewhere around my instrument cluster (speedo, gauges, etc.).

I was wondering if anyone has had and remedied this.

It used to only occur when hard braking on bumpy road vibrations, but now it happend whenever i brake and sometimes when just driving on bumpy roads.

It is very slight, but bugs me none the less. I removed my cluster and shook it a little but didnt find anything making the noise. When i reinstalled the cluster it seemed to make it a little better, but now its back to normal, might have been just me thinking it was better ;)

Any ideas?

bump...hasnt anyone ever had a rattle/squeak in or around the istrument panel...im dying for any ideas

Perhaps the cluster isn't as snug as it should be. Take the cluster out, put some felt strips around the edges where it makes contact with the dash so it's tighter.

Good call ^^^. Had to do something similar for my dash by the glovebox when I had solid engine mounts.
