How to hook up Sirius radio?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have the OEM cd player/radio and I don't believe my car is pre-wired for satellite radio. I was wondering if anyone on here actually got an after market receiver and wired it to the exterior antenna. Where exactly did you install the antenna and how did you wire it? I've already searched and all I saw was people recommending buying the OEM SAT receiver or buying the RNS-E and I do not want to do that.

    thanks

what about putting the antenna in the corner of the front dash or on the rear deck? Has anyone done this? Is the signal good?

I don't want to put an ugly antenna on the roof lol

I get really shitty signal with the antenna on the front dash. Its fine in the city with the terr repeaters around, but once you get out and need to rely on sat...its shit.

havent tried the back window, i also wont put that ugly antenna on the outside! i cant figure out which cable i need to connect the OEM sharkfin to the pioneer avic XM accessory.
