    Air Bag warning light

I have checked the forums and can only find posts about the "yellow light" indicating that the passenger airbag is off. My problem is that my airbag warning light behind my steering wheel is always lit and the passenger airbag light never goes off regardless if I have a passenger or not. The only thing that I have done to the car was swap the 6 disc cd changer radio with the Audi Navigation RNS-E. I have had the car at an Audi dealership to have it serviced and ask them to check it out. The problem is that I am in Germany, and the car is US spec...therefore the mechanics say that they can get into the computer but cannot successfully reset the airbag warning light. Anybody have any suggestions on what the problem could be and what I can do to fix it?

You have turned your ignition on when the glovbox was removed. of you have forgott to plug back the yellow connector on the glovbox.

You only need to clear the faltcodes once the yellow connector is plugged in. If your german audi dealer cant do that, tell them to go blow yourself and get yourself a vagcom cable from www.ross-tech.com
    thats how i cleard mine.

    Cheers

Thanks alot for the info... however I have never removed the glovebox, so I don't think it should have anything to do with a yellow connector being unplugged. I will check it though!

my airbag light is on all of the time, but that is because I swapped seats with a B6 S4...it has to do with the passenger seat occupancy sensor in my case.

perhaps yours is unplugged, or has failed.

Just in case anyone was following this post, or in the case that anyone ever gets the same issue... I took the car to a dealership here in Germany and found out that the sensor under my seat was bad, as well as a couple other parts that work in conjunction with the sensor. The part was under warranty and the dealer replaced it free of charge! The light is off and my baby is back to normal!

For starters clear the fault codes and see whether it turns on a signal again...
