Would this Kit really work? http://www.fuelflexinternational.com, I saw this on TV on the weather channel program called forcastearth you buy this kit and just plug right in to your injectors and your ready for flex fuel. This taxi company did it on their dodge vans and it works fine. Now would this work on my 3.0 Audi?

Here is a comment from an customer with an Audi A8

    Howard S, MD

I am a truly satisfied customer, & have demonstrated my Audi A8 to many people who are interested in E85 conversion...including my son (an engineering prof at U of I). Go here--->

I think more than just the fuel lines as well, perhaps even the gas tank, etc to withstand the increased amount of ethanol. Ethanol is pretty corrosive iirc. Our cars now can take up to 10% (E10), which is whats allowed at fuel pumps now.

Ted (Denvernoob) has been running straight E85 for some time now. Makes a shit ton of power off it. He has upgraded lines. You also have to run BIG ass injectors. Even at 5000ft Ted had to run 500cc with a K04! Do a search for his threads on it. My buddy is starting to convert his B5 2.8. We are seeing how much of a mix we can get away with on his stock injectors just by tweaking it with Lemmiwinks.

^^ How are you going to make sure the a/f is good across the board?

Because it has a wideband from the factory, the B6 operates in closed loop all the time, so it's pretty easy to switch fuels out, as long as your injectors are reasonably large.

Just log and see is our only basis. Not to mention looking at the color of the spark plugs and piston tops. He is running fine right now with a 50/50 mix. I think he will max out the injectors with anything more. I need to get more involved with what Ted did on his B6 conversion since that is the route I want to take with my car.

Re: E-85 convertion, in our cars? Higher Octane, cheaper. Would this work?

FYI, I've been running an E85 blend and have found that I'm running out of injector (60lb injectors) at about 35% ethanol.

With standard gasoline (E10, in minnesota) my duty cycles are about 85%. I was surprised to see such high duty cycles coming from 630cc injectors since they are almost 45% larger than the set of genesis 430cc I was running prior. I wonder if the fuel pump is unable to provide that much flow, or if it is due to the returnless fueling and line pressures under boost

Re: E-85 convertion, in our cars? Higher Octane, cheaper. Would this work?

Damn only 35% and running out of injector on 630's? Like Ted, I can get away with running a smaller injector up here since I do not push as much fuel at higher elevations. Not sure if Ted is running a return or returnless setup. What is the biggest injector you can use without having to run a resistor box, 850cc?

oh I almost forgot... my current tune is PIG RICH
We're talking I occasionally see 10.14:1 requested air fuel and 10.8 actual (I think 10.8 may be the lowest the built-in wideband will report )

So there's more room available with the 60lbs, just not much with my current tune.
