Anyone by the Sirius module after getting the car? The dealer said its prewired... Just wondering what it costs and whether I could install it myself easily? Neil, any idea what Audi would charge?

    Re: Sirius Module

If it's prewired then it's a cinch to install - the harness is in the trunk area, but you'll have to dig for it a bit. All cars 2004 and after are prewired I think. You can tell - anything that doesn't have an antenna on the roof is not prewired.

I bought my Sirius module on eBay for about $250 iirc. Seems silly how expensive it is since you have to pay for service but whatever - it's still much cheaper than the stealership. And totally worth it IMO. Note if you go this route you'll need to do check you get the right part number (see Telematics forum FAQ). Older modules might not work with your car because they have dual antenna connector and I think your car has a single connector.

Yeah I have the single connector with I believe a G at the end of the code... I haven't been able to find those on E-Bay.

    Re: Sirius Module

I just picked up one of the last 2008 A4's last week.

I've been looking to add Sirius as well, as I didn't fancy paying $1,500 for the Bose package.

I just got a response from the dealership, they want $650 for the module - compared to 300-470 from the US here:
    http://www.audipartssuperstore.com/c...cPath=22_31_55

I'm assuming that since we don't have TPMS, and I don't have Navi, that the
8E0-057-593 is the piece for me.

Can anyone confirm that the part numbers work the same on Canadian cars as the US ones?

    Re: Sirius Module

Check the VW boards too, since they are the same module.

I scored one off a VW board last year for about $100 or so and it was the newest module that works with RNS-E and TPMS without throwing a fit.
I call 'em as I see 'em.
