Thanks...yea....not sure if i want to clear the corners.....it doesnt bother me too much and not sure how long i will keep them also.....im thinking of doing a mod to my A6 lights and then put them back in....not positive

How did you black out the rear rings and the strip at the bottom of the rear door? I want to do that one mine plus color match lower section of my rear valance.
What suspension you ahve.... looks real low! no rubbing?

WOW, it looks great, love the Red/Black/no chrome look. What did you use on the roof rails? and defintiely CLEAR THOSE CORNERS !!!

Thanks guys....i will have had her for about one year on the 27th and im pretty happy with the progress....
Gigi - I put tape a tape box around the location of the ring....I then removed the rear rings with fishing line.....then cleaned the area on the car and the rings with googone.... then waxed and buffed it....Then i used the good ol can of plasti dip to paint the rings (5 coats with about 5 min between on a hot ass day).....let it dry over night....I then cut 3m double sided tape to fit the back of the rings and then stick them on and put a tight strip of tape acrosse them to hold them in place to let it get a firm hold.
As for the strip at the bottom of the hatch that was a little tougher....i had to go buy a new one and remove the inside of the hatch but basicly the same process.....but you will bend up the original when you remove it so def go buy a new one...

I have H&R coilover and (knocking on wood) no issues with rubbing.

I might look to clear the corners later.....honestly though, they dont bother me at all....and if I do the mods I want to do to my old A6 lights I will clear the corners while I have them apart.....


Going to get the car tinted today....how dark do you think I should go?

wow, so hot. x2 on the black door blades tho, i seen a red b6 with them and it really sets the car off. not sure how strict ur laws are, but id go dark as possible. 20% all around and 5% on the rear hatch, but i guess im a bit bias

Tint too! Go darker if you can get away with it. I just got a fix it ticket for my fronts. I was much darker on my S4. I suppose I was just lucky.

well...new pics with tint are going to have to wait.....while they were tinting my car they cracked my windshield....not real happy but accidents happen I guess……the guy said his brother does windows and that they would replace it free of cost within the next couple of days….its actually a little darker than I wanted it but maybe it will grow on me

Yea, the windshield was having a super light UV protection film installed….I am paranoid about my seats and the new seats I am going to install

I guess I am in the minority here as I really don't like the look of door blades at all. Nevertheless, I did a few quick photoshops for you. The pictures with the tints didn't come out so well, but it's been a long day and I am not up to redoing it right now. Maybe tomorrow if you want them:

No worries man. Like I said, I am not a fan of them either. In black or in general. Just thought you'd like to see them on your car instead of someone elses to make sure. Nice car though, looks great. Love the black rims on a red car, and I am not typically a fan of black rims.
