    What's up guys,

i've been seeing alot of "MPG" Posts lately and thought i'd chime in.

About a week ago my Dad mentions to me that our favorite fill up spot just posted stickers, claiming 10% ethanol added to each grade of fuel.

personally i have just been noticing my engine running rough, starting about a month ago...

    Re: Mpg

We have been using 10% ethanol in good ol' Illinois for years. Perhaps that is why my car does not get the mpg of others cars on the forum. I do have 1500 miles now though and it is getting better. I drove like a grandma on my way to work today just to see what kind of mpg I could get - I got 31.5 mpg. It has been improving as the miles tick by.

    Re: Mpg

Why is the GAS STILL HIGH THEN?? i went from averaging 400 - 350 per tank. But this may be because i like to push the car more now than before

    Re: Mpg

ethanol reduces mileage and adds undue wear to your engine. the biggest direct issue is that it gums up fuel injectors. run a can of fuel injector cleaner through your engine every few thousand miles. when i drove v8 pickups, you could DEFINITELY tell a difference - the injectors made a more definite *click* noise when they fired after a can of the cleaner, and the trucks all seemed a bit more peppy (butt-dyno proven).

emholic, go here: http://www.epa.gov/otaq/rfg/whereyoulive.htm and find out if your county requires stations carry reformulated stuff. if not, find another station. me, i'm stuck driving at least an hour one way to get real gas
