Finding a new 2008, impossible?

I'm on the market for a new 2008 A4, but i'm very picky about the options. Is it slim pickings at this point of the year? I'm having a tough time finding something even remotely close to what I want.

Options my car must have:

2.0T Quattro
6-speed
Convenience
Cold Weather

Options I really want, but could always buy aftermarket parts instead:

S-line
Titanium
Preferably Ibis White

Think I'll find this car?

Nationwide search. Check cars.com, autotrader.com, and even the classifieds here. Call your local dealer, tell them what you're looking for, and they'll find it if its out there!

Well i've seen plenty of 2008 Ibis Whites out there, but none with the options i'm looking for. I've had my local dealer do a search for me, but how far would they be willing to ship from? Would my local dealer have access to inventory at an Audi Dealership 2000 miles away?

Of course. They can dealertrade with the other thats if the dealership is willing to. A lot of dealerships do this because usually each dealership has something that the other one wants.

At this point, all 2008's are Special Editions which means they come with Sline exterior, so you just don't get the steering wheel or door sills. The SE also comes with heated seats standard so most of your options should be on most cars. The on problem I see is, 6 speed is going to be your toughest option, good luck let us know how it goes. Your dealer should be able to look at all of the Audi inventory, but sometimes you have to push because generally they don't want to trade cross country but you may have to do this to get the car you want.

Thanks for the advice, we'll see what the dealership comes up with. Being from New England, I would like to have the Cold Weather package with the heated washer nozzles and headlight washers, but that probably wouldn't keep me from buying the car.

Thanks, but i'm looking for brand new. Audi is offering 0.9% financing on all new A4's.

actually they had a .5% interest lease and the first months payment paid, in July you should see if they can get any more off, but .9% is that for purchase? Also I would search via Audi's website and you can search dealer inventory on auto trader. Then call dealer direct and make below invoice offer, if you take the leg work out of the deal, you can get a really good deal on your car :)... Also the new dealer will have little invested so they are willing to make a deal. When I was searching for mine, I had to take matters into my own hands and do some searching/calling around but was worth it I think. If your dealer just says ahh that is to hard don't take that answer there should be several 6-speeds left.

i just got one last month.. gave my 06 audi a4 2.0t to my parents and bought me a 08 Audi a4. It has all the specs u need but the titanium..I just went to my dealer and said i want a ibis white with the sports package, quattro, and it has to be manual... they got on the phone right away and found me one down in LA.. they drove down there the next day to get it for me. Took about 1 day and now its sitting inside my garage. ill post pics l8er... oh by the way !!! I named her Aubrey!!!

Call them, tell them what they want, and they will find it or say it isnt out there any longer.

They have access to all dealership inventory, which you do not.

that was me who got the last ibis white, with a catch of course. Mine was the last 08 ibis with a true sline package and a 6mt. it is very slim picking becuase whatever is left out there is it they are building no more.

I just picked up an non-se in Dallas / FT. Mine is quattro.

They have a 2.0, Quattro manaual with sport suspension on the lot. I drove it. I just couldn't go manual (wife). This one is SE. It has the heated seats.

man u should have no problem, there are like 5 audi dealers nearby in MA, my cousin just got an 08 and he told me they are all s-line now? But those features are all pretty basic, except for titanium.

oh yah, dont forget about Audi of Nashua in NH, they are a nice new dealership right near the border. Their site says they have 5-7 IBIS whites, one of them has everything u want except for titanium

Grand, get ahold of Audi of Brookline as there very good at hooking people up, I live about 200 miles away and still shop there so it tells you the kind of place they are.

Just to clarify, the 0.9 financing only applies to the Standard A4 which are on dealer lots. They also have 2.9% available for the SE model although I don't know if they are taking special orders for that model since the B8 is due out soon.

This is where I think Audi marketing messed up. If it doesn't come with all the options of the s-line package, they shouldn't have marketed it as an "s-line."

they market it as the exterior s-line package. The true s-line sport package has the 20mm lower suspension, thicker anti roll front and rear, 18 in 5 arm gmbh wheels, s-line door sills, and s-line white with red stitch three spoke steering wheel.

It's missing the Cold Weather, S-line and Titanium. Not close enough of a match for me. I also don't want to pay extra for the SE package when I don't really care about it.

He has only searched the East Coast so far, he's expanding his search. He seemed a little hesitate to search further West, anybody know if a dealer would have to pay more to have a car shipped further away? It just seemed wierd he didn't search nationwide to begin with.

trust me it will be hard to find what your looking for. When i went to my dealer he did a nationwide search. luckily mine was only 5 hours away. but that is it, if they go far out they will charge you to transport it proble 500-800

I don't think you can get this config because 6spd is not much in New and Audi already stop accept B7 order.

While buying mine I ran a quick comparision of everything on the SE vs non-SE and I think the SE is about $350 less for the same equipment.

I couldn't stand the wheels, so I ended up with the non-SE.

I just got the SE, I also could not stand the rims. So sold them and got some new ones, and probably spent no more than if I would have paid for full Sline.

The only thing in the SE package valuable to me is the heated seats. I don't care about the satellite radio since i'm upgrading my audio anyways, the wheels are god awful, so in the end, it's not worth the extra money. The SE is also lacking the front headlight washers, something very handy when living in New England.

I won't be buying used, only new. If I can't find what I want, I'll just wait for the 09's.

You are looking for the same car i wanted... ibis, 6spd, titanium. I had a hard enough time finding one used much less new. There are a few used out there but I know you dont want to go that route.

I put a request in through my dealership in may for my dolphy manual q Ti.. I only had to wait three weeks because it was on the boat waiting to hit port... I highly doubt there is one out there but ask the dealership to look...
