My Avant at very near point soon has to be replaced its transmission and Audi quoted me for $4500 includes labor, off course it's not the only source I can have them replaced but the question is should I just get new car cause for at least $3000 (somewhere figurative number) to fix the tranny I could put DP for new ones.

Do you guys think fix better than have new car with 6 years/100000 miles warranty? or vice versa? to be honest I hate payments but I hate fixing car too. Oh well decision..decision....

It's a sick car and don't forget when buying used you're generally inheriting someone else's headache as well.

My suggestion is if you can get a decent amount for your car then sell it and move on. You don't need to buy a brand new car either just newer.

1998 is definately running its time on an audi. I am pretty sure you could be better off just getting an newer car.

X3. Sell it to someone that can fix it and get a newer car. B6 Avants can be had reasonably if you look around.
