Muffler used

Does anyone know what muffler is used in the borla exhuast kit? or even the milltek exhuast?

I am trying to get a german car sound out of the 1.8, if its even possble (and not even sure the borla will do.. video sound and real life are different).. the few exhausts I have heard via youtube, just arent my sound.

I have a pair of Magnaflow mufflers that will give you a good sound... Brand new for $140 shipped!

I've heard the magnaflow, it didnt really catch me.. i like the sound clips of the borla on AWE's site.. now if only i can find out what muffler it is, if i can get it universally and do my own exhaust.

I don't know about the Borla, but the Milltek exhaust uses a Milltek muffler.

borla is a pretty big muffler company I would assume its there own design.

part #40670 from borla is 3inch in 2.25inch out. That would be nice. Then you would just get two #20153 tips.

Don't believe what you hear on the internet... So many variables as to sound quality... Magnaflow is a bit like Borla... Just cheaper IMO... Magnaflow would have a bit rhaspy not compared to the Borla but it is a nice rhasp and not a rice sound...

i just installed my apr cat back system, and i love the way it sounds, i think that it sounds better than the borla, but that is my personal opinion....some times it reminds me of the sound of my old vr6

I know this, but they have more then 1 muffler.. and they each make a different sound..

well, in the end, i ended up with a magnaflow muffer with single in, dual out with round tips to keep the stock look.. and man, it sounds absolutely amazing with all new 2.5" piping.

i was told it was loud, ricey, raspy, but said fuck it, if it is, aint nothing money wont change and i'm more then satisfied!
