I am looking for a way to further lower my car with stock sport suspension (in a cheaper way). Which set of springs do you guys recommend? Thanks

    Re: About springs

If you have sports suspension, you would need race springs to go lower. Aftermarket sport springs such as the ones in the link will yeild you same to similar height to the stock sport height. If anything, the ride quality would improve.

If you do decide to go with the race springs with the stock sport struts, the ride quality I read (damper) will be terrible. Yet it is still do-able. Another thing to consider when using race springs on sport stock struts instead of sport springs is that it will wear your struts quicker. That is why many upgrade to Bilstein shocks when doing that. And there are stories of people having thier sport struts sh*t the bed on them after a couple months, while others can go years without problems and still truck it. I guess it would have to do with the way the individual drives.

I myself am still on stock sports suspension. I will only upgrade to coilovers (Koni more than likely). I really don't see the neccesity of them at the moment. The sport stockers do me just fine and I have a Nuespeed Rear Sway Bar. I am on 16" swings (just bought new tires couple months ago, so they will be on there for at least 30k+ more miles), but if I had 18" wheels I would def upgrade the suspension.

The teins look like they are really low... but the rates seem really soft

I saw this thread and it's H&R sport spring on stock sport suspension. It seems nice. That why I want to ask.

Generally, what's the rate for the springs?

    Re: About springs

i would think the Vogtlands and H&R would be in the low to mid 300lbs I would ask the dealers to be sure.
The Teins are listed on that site as
    RIDE HEIGHT : Front : -2.4 - Rear : -1.9
    SPRING RATE : Front :263 lb/in Rear :157 lb/in
    That seems really soft.

May be that's the reason why they are cheaper.
