Well the other night I was driving and EPC light came on in a parking lot and car started idleing like it had a blown coilpack and was ideling at 1200rpm but no flashing CEL. I turned car off and started it again and drove home about 2 miles. I turned onto my street and then was cruising and EPC came on again and I lost all power (car floored but it decelerated until it was doing like 5mph). I parked the car and in the morning I tore out all the SAI pump stuff and lines as well as suction pump for brakes and n249 valve hoses and diverter valve stuff that is under the intake manifold. I went to go drive the car and it drove fine in vacuum but as soon as I hit boost it would throw EPC light and fall on its face losing all power. I turned it off and did this a few more times. At one point it would idle at 800 then the next it would at 1200 and then like I said it drove perfect as long as I didnt hit boost, as soon as I do bam EPC and absolutely no power with engine acting like a blown coil pack but no flashing check engine.
I went to leave my friends house and the car then wouldnt even run right, it would just go straight into the EPC light run like dog shit mode after trying to start it like 5 times. Then it wouldnt even start. My head is all screwed up so I cant think. I thought it was something I did with taking out the SAI pump and all the hoses and other crap, but you have to remember it started the symptom the night before so im guessing something just started acting up then and now it took a shit. I cant remember exactly what happened when my MAF went bad once before (dont know if it threw CEL or not) so im wondering if that is part of the problem. I just dont understand the part of it would run until I hit boost then would go into the limp mode every time as soon as I hit boost.
I hooked VAG COM up to read codes but all of them said a number then "code file not loaded" something along those lines, I had like 9 codes, but usually will get like 5 or 6 anyway that always have said that which I figure are misfire codes. I have an old hacked version of VAG COM from 2003 (Release 311-2) so I dont know if the old version isnt telling me crap or what.
EDIT: for future reference it appears to be the throttle body (Code 17976 throttle valve adjuster mechanical malfunction)
