Some problems... ABS, ESP, and brake pedal...

I was out driving today, regular driving, trying to conserve gas. I looked at my instrument cluster and saw ABS and ESP lights were on. I pulled over, turned the car off, then turned it back on, and they were gone. Started driving again and the clutch pedal seemed to act slightly different.

About 5 min after that.. I was stopping for a red light, when my brake pedal started to rumble.. like if you were skidding on snow, you get the pulsating sound and feel from the brake pedal, but I was going only 5mph. After that the lights came back on.. I checked the brake fluid level, and the brake pads look good.. Anyone ever experience anything like this before?

Re: Some problems... ABS, ESP, and brake pedal...

Sounds like a wheel speed sensor to me, I had the exact same thing happen to my TT. ABS and ESP lights on, can't turn on ESP, and while stopping at slow speeds my ABS would kick in and pulsate my brake petal.

If you're under warranty it will be 100% free, but otherwise the part can be $100-200 I think plus and hour so of labor. I can dig up my receipt (should be similar) if you want.

Sometimes the sensors just need to be cleaned, but you'll have to have both of them checked with a multimeter to see if they're working or whats going on
    Ignorance is bliss.

I take back what I said before... I had those same symptoms, and the culprit was a blown cylinder head which cost me $11,000. Looks like it happened again, sucka

I just looked at that thread and lol'ed. I forgot to respond back.. but I ended up purchasing a new head because I could not get a conclusive answer whether or not the other engine head would fit, and I did not want to take chances. I had an indi shop install it, and take care of a few other things.. So much hate on that thread.. haha.. the accident never voided the warranty.. Dealer voided the warranty due to the Revo software I was running.

Software had NOTHING to do with the head going. That was just Audi's excuse to not cover it.

My mechanics theory? Warped from the factory. I still have a old head.. I'm thinking about making something out of it.. macho home decor?

Oh, and BTW, stop calling me "kid" I'm 22, old enough to take car of myself, and all my problems.

Make it into a coffee table stand, or a corner table stand with a glass top over it. Sorta like people do with higher quality wheels and engine blocks
