Some pix of my "Stock" A4...updated 1 night pix

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I think you guys can tell I haven't changed anything.
I know I am riding high, but I enjoy flying over bumps and dips. XD
(I am just comforting myself. I hate turing with this height. = =)

What I have done so far......
iPod integration (used an entire day to get it done)
    Windows tinted
Exhaust tips added (don't have $$ to change the exhaust)
5800K White halogen bulb changed for low beam and fogs (saving money for HID but really hate the stock yellow so I just get rid of the yellow first)
    Some electricial mod through VAG-COM
    One touch rear windows up

    Future plans.....
Clear corner (but I don't have the tools)
Lower it (waiting for the sport suspension from one of the member to arrive =])
Change the rims (when I need to change the tires lol)
    Rear lip spoiler (may be)

    Comment please. =]

really? all you need truelly is a torx for the unscrewing(or allen wrench lol if you don't have torx, it'll work....) and an electric screwdriver if you don't have a dremel.... That's what I used and it didn't come out PERFECT but I'm highly satisfied. Check my sig pic....

Hmmm....I know....indeed getting the tools is not so difficult....I am just afraid that I can't install it back....and I saw some of the thread saying that it has to be aligned again after reinstalling....the second thing is that I don't really like the "hole" on the side....that's why I still haven't do the mod....

I think that you should get a pair of stealth bulbs....that will be better....

i just did the CC mod. i was in a rush so i didn't drill carefully but it came out pretty well i think. one thing you can do is put a bigger hole in it so you can stick a piece of tin foil to fill the hole. works like a charm. the bigger hole you made can just be patched with window sealer( urethane). you need to tint you tails though. what percent tint did you use?

I think the rear 3 are 13% and the front 2 are 22%. Only "13" and "22" these 2 numbers are written on the receipt. I don't really know which is which.

I think it's not a bad idea to tint the lights, but I am not a fans of it. =]

For the hole, do you have any pix of it?

I agree with leaving the lights in their stock redness.

True. I really like the red tailight without any "amber." This is one of the greatest thing of facelift A4. =]

Looks good man I would definitely clear the corners like ya said, I was also debadge it (a4 and the 1.8t badge) and I think blacking out the grill trim would look sick too (keep the rings chrome of course). After all you'd be money haha

I think I won't debadge now. I still love the badge, at least currently. Haha

De-chroming the grill will be a good idea. However, I can't find a tutorial which the picutres link work. =[

Yeah I don't know I just love a clean ass haha. I've done the grill twice now once on my old b5 and once on my current. Its real easy, I'm pretty experienced with painting but this is still novice. If ya want a diy I could probably take the pictures for you and show ya whats, what. I think there are a few diys floating around though...

It's 92k now. I just get it washed on Tuesday. Indeed there are many minor scratches on it if you look closely.

a set of HID is like $60 shipped from vvme..probably not too much more than a set of 5800k halogen bulbs. Did exhaust note change with the tips?

That means I will get more or less the same light output even though I changed to HID? OMG. It's damn dim now.

For the exhaust, I just threw in some tips which I bought from pepboys for $12 a pair. =]

The light output should definitely be greater with HIDs than with halogens.

That tip looks pretty good for $12, too.

Hmmm. I want to get a ecode one first before I install the HID.

I believe the OEM one will look better. However, it's much more expensive.

Goodluck findigng a pair of ecodes. Any HID will give you more output than halogen bulbs. if you piece the OEM kit yourself, it's not too expensive. Phillips Ballast + igniters are like around $250 (I think)...and a pair of Phillips D2s bulbs is like another 200? iono haha

i wouldnt waste my time installing a stock sport suspension, it's gonna b alot of work and your not gonna be happy with only a 1/2 inch drop. save up some pennies and go straight for a good aftermarket suspension or coilovers. car looks real clean by the way.

Thanks for the advise. I think I will change the springs, too. For a good aftermarket coilovers, that's too expensive and I don't really want to get too low (my driving skill is not good). =]

Really easy. All you need is screw driver and wires.

I removed the panel according to this article
    http://www.obdtool.com/onetouch/

and connect the wire according to this
    http://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/2407551.phtml

connecting 5-7 or 5-8 both work well.

I think so at the beginning. However, it's much more convenience after doing that. lol

Yes. For my car, because it's black, it's like a furnace inside at noon. I will open all the windows immediately when I get in and close after the "heat" is gone. Therefore that works really great for me.

True. All the windows roll DOWN with one touch. But only the front 2 windows roll UP with one touch. The rear 2 don't roll UP with 1 touch.
